Why I’m Investing More Now
by Henrik Andersson
Today, I’m thrilled to share with you that I’m investing more into crypto. I’m investing more of my personal funds into the Apollo Crypto Fund and the Apollo Crypto Market Neutral Fund.
While it’s impossible to know if we have seen the bottom of this bear market, there are, in my opinion, several compelling reasons why it makes sense to take a more bullish view of the market:
Favourable Macroeconomic Conditions
The worst of the macro tightening appears to be behind us, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) falling and real interest rates now in positive territory. The recent hike in interest rates by the Federal Reserve could be an indicator that we’ve reached the end of this particular cycle. This creates a promising environment for riskier assets like crypto assets, and there’s even a possibility of rate cuts next year, potentially driving increased investment interest in the crypto market.
Institutional Recognition and Acceptance
Institutional acceptance of cryptocurrencies has been steadily growing, and one significant development worth noting is BlackRock’s application for a spot Bitcoin ETF. As the world’s largest asset manager, BlackRock’s interest in crypto further validates it as a legitimate asset class.
Cyclical Nature of Crypto Markets
The crypto market has shown a cyclical pattern over the years, often tied to Bitcoin’s halvening event that occurs every four years. As history has shown, these cycles can drive the market into a more bullish phase. Considering the next halvening is 9 months away, we might be on the cusp of a new uptrend.
For the above reasons and even though sentiment is still bad and there is regulatory uncertainty, the funds have been actively investing in new projects and we have been increasing our exposure over the last 6 months.
I’m excited about the potential growth and evolution of the crypto market, and I’m confident in the future of this transformative asset class and that is why I’m putting my money where my mouth is and investing more now.
As always, please remember that investing in crypto assets comes with inherent risks, and prudent decision-making is crucial. This is not personal financial advice. Please do your own research and consult your financial advisor.
